I was also reading TES4Edit Cleaning Guide and under the Quick List of What & What Not to Clean sections it says "Do clean the official DLC. I googled it and the most immediate recommendations on forums were not to clean. I did a clean installation of Oblivion and then installed a few mods from the Stability, OBSE Plugins, Fix and Patches section from Bevilex' modlist for Oblivion - Graphics.
